Supporting Community Pubs

CAMRA has launched a new initiative to help drive trade to community pubs by introducing a national, unified real ale discount scheme for CAMRA members. Plenty of pubs across Britain already offer CAMRA card-carrying members discounts on the real ales they sell. This new scheme will help these pubs, and hopefully some new pubs, to promote these offers clearly to CAMRA members, hopefully resulting in more trade.

The discount is at the discretion of the pub and can be as little or as large as it feels suits their business. All pubs selling real ale can participate in the scheme. Full details of how the scheme works, and how pub operators can sign up to the scheme, and pubs already participating, can be found on the CAMRA national website.

Locally, several pubs have already signed up to this scheme.

Hare on the Green, Brampton

They accept the card and give a discount. Discount unknown.

Haywain, St Ives

The Haywain, St Ives is offering CAMRA members 20p off a pint and 10p off half a pint of all real ales on production of their CAMRA membership card.

Royal Oak, St Ives

The Royal Oak, St Ives is offering CAMRA members 20p off a pint and 10p off half a pint of all real ales on production of their CAMRA membership card.

Falcon, Huntingdon

Offers a 10% discount on real ales on production of membership card.

Hartford Mill, Hartford, Huntingdon

Offers a discount on real ales on production of membership card.

Pig n Falcon, St Neots

John Nunn at the Pig n Falcon, St Neots is offering CAMRA members 50p off a pint or 20p off a half, on production of their CAMRA membership card, on all "tap room" cask beers. John is also offering to take Wetherspoons vouchers and is offering 50p off a pint on all "tap room" cask beers and on all real ciders! You can also get 50p off two halves.

Three Horseshoes, Graveley

The Three Horseshoes in Graveley offers a 10% discount on real ales to CAMRA members.
