St Ives Booze on the Ouse Beer and Cider Festival 2017

Set up takes a team of enthusiastic volunteers, whose love of Beer and Cider drivers us to get everything ready for the festival goers. It is a really fun time and at the end of it, of course there is time for a beer.

Quality Assurance is a vital part of running a successful festival, and we make sure that the beer that you drink is in the condition you would expect. Doing the QA here is Paul, Chris and Mike.

And of course the festival itself. We hope everyone had a fantastic time and tried plenty of our beers. The volunteers really enjoyed putting this festival on, we have a very friendly and fun loving group here in Hunts Branch. If you want to get involved with helping to run these events then please check out Volunteering to help at 'Booze on the Ouse'.

Of course we have to thank the Pie Man for peddling his wears and helping to keep everyone well fed; hopefully everyone was well watered. And for those early starters who were with us on the Thursday afternoon, St Ives Booze on the Ouse will definitely be remembered, amongst other things, for the pie oven fire. We thank all the festival goers and volunteers for safely evacuating the hall and the Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue for their swift arrival. But it cant be left without saying; well done to the Hunts Branch Vice Chairman Graham for his heroics and deft use of the fire extinguisher and saving the day!
